Statkraft, a pioneer in the renewable energy sector, wanted to celebrate their 25-year presence in the Netherlands with an event that would highlight their leadership in the energy transition. Their question to us was clear: organize an event that is strong in content as well as festive and innovative, bringing together employees, former colleagues and key stakeholders. Leave that to Dutch Standard!
The program was carefully curated in cooperation with Statkraft. There were interactive talks on crucial topics in the energy transition, led by chairman of the day Helga van Leur. We also translated the desire to share knowledge into a knowledge quiz as an interlude that actively engaged participants. And, of course, there were networking moments that provided opportunities to exchange ideas. So much for the content part…
Because, of course, an anniversary also calls for a party with a golden edge, so the evening was filled with entertainment and a walking dinner. Employees were figuratively put on stage by sharing their personal stories as ‘testimonials in space’, creating a beautiful audiovisual image of 25 years of Statkraft in the Netherlands.
We chose to move away from traditional event venues and went for a setting with a twist! Start-up hub B Amsterdam, a raw industrial location served as the canvas for the anniversary. A perfect setting that reflected Statkraft’s innovative nature, with audiovisual elements and a unique visual installation above the keynote stage. This made even the most substantive part of the program engaging and accessible.
As a strategic partner, we translated Statkraft’s substantive goals into a fresh, inspiring setting. Definitely not natural for a company in this sector to go for an “exciting” location. By working closely with our client who had little experience with events, we made their ideas feasible and practical.
Together, we developed our own visual identity for this event, which we translated into components such as the stage, custom light installation and even branded Tony Chocolonely’s. Our team ensured a streamlined organization, from the visual decoration to the smallest logistical details.
The client was more than satisfied! Guests appreciated the combination of a substantively strong program with an innovative and dynamic atmosphere. The walking dinner provided a stage for the people who made Statkraft great, and the feedback afterwards was laudatory.
