Startup Bootcamp (SBC), a leading accelerator program, asked us to take their annual event to the next level. This event, where startups pitch their ideas to industry and investors, needed to not only inspire, but also highlight their focus on sustainability. The difference from our usual approach? SBC wanted to run the organization itself, with Dutch Standard as strategic advisor. A unique challenge that required customization and collaboration. We don’t turn our hand to that!
Instead of taking over the entire organization, we assisted SBC with advice and expertise. We gave them confidence, helped them to avoid pitfalls, supported them in negotiations with suppliers and thought about the perfect location and program. With our experience in event management and our network of specialized partners to rely on, they managed to realize their creative vision.
The theme of sustainability was the theme of the event, with the venue, fully equipped with eco-friendly solutions, being the starting point. This was carried through to all aspects of the event: vegetarian catering, recycled materials and electric tuk-tuks as transportation for all guests. This gave the event not only an innovative but also a unique, green signature.
Startups, investors and industry experts came together in an atmosphere of collaboration and innovation. The program consisted of:
The combination of content and atmosphere created a vibrant dynamic, where energy and inspiration were palpable. Not least because startups had a huge dose of bring energy, they have the will to change things with innovation and are eager to make their ideas a reality!
Our role as a consultant gave SBC’s internal team peace of mind and assurance, although it must be said that we were impressed with the quality of SBC’s internal team. With our guidance, they were able to fully focus on the content of the event, while we ensured that all the operational and logistical details were right. The result was an event that not only met but exceeded expectations.
The feedback spoke volumes: the quality of the pitches was praised, the program was perceived as versatile and professional, and the overall atmosphere impressed all attendees. SBC achieved their goals: startups had the opportunity to expand their network and advance their ideas, while the entire community came together to share knowledge and inspiration. It was, in a few words, just an incredibly good and fun event for the startup community.
